BENEFICIARIES:

what

BENEFICIARY NEEDS:
A less isolated life in a foreign country and a self-sufficient way to cover their basic needs.

SOLUTION:
A group of 15 refugees gather plastic waste in the streets of Rome in order to make artistic sheets from which they manufacture objects entirely made from recycled scrap material. All proceeds from sales go the the refugees who manufactured the objects, they in return give a contribution to the Poliambulatorio mobile di Castel Volturno in order to help other migrants.

why it is
interesting

This project is interesting because it has a double positive impact, they give refugees an opportunity to work and social inclusion and at the same time promote environmental sustainability by making the streets of Rome less polluted. This way, refugees can contribute to the city that has welcomed them and start-off their work experience.

IMPACT:
In six years, refugees have transformed 15 tons of plastic into artistic and useful objects.
