PROMOTERS:
EUROCITIES, a network of major European cities whose members are the elected local and municipal governments bringing together the local governments of over 130 of Europe’s largest cities and 40 partner cities.

BENEFICIARIES:
Migrants, their host communities and The European Commission.

Successful migration and integration policies and the exchange of knowledge and ideas as well as best practices.

TYPE OF EXPERT AND NETWORK:
Network members are experts in policymaking, project management, human resources, finance, administration and communication.

PURPOSE OF THE NETWORK:
Network members exchange knowledge, ideas and experiences, analyse common problems and develop innovative solutions, through a wide range of forums, working groups, projects, activities and events. The “working group migration and integration” project’s goal is to achieve the recognition of the important role local authorities have in fostering migrant integration through a multilevel governance system. They also helped to set up a European Commission database of good practices on integration policies.
